Living a Healthier Life 12/31/1969 - 12/31/1969

Research has shown that up to 90% of all cancers are caused by environmental factors. Every day, we are exposed to various chemicals and toxins that can increase our risk for disease. Although we can’t avoid each and every hazard, raising awareness about environmental health issues is key in taking preventative measures that will benefit you and your family in the long run. Information is essential to making better choices about our health.

Please Join Dr. Davis and local pediatrician Dr. Lisa Ridgway as they discuss the latest on what you and your family can do now to live a healthier life. Topics will include safer cell phone use as well as BPAs commonly found in plastics, mammograms and other environmental health concerns.

Wildlife Crossings and Jackson Hole 12/31/1969 - 12/31/1969

The Jackson Hole Conservation Alliance has a long-term program goal of promoting wildlife connectivity within Jackson Hole, the gateway to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks and home to a vast array of wildlife, such as pronghorn antelope, moose, gray wolves, elk, grizzlies and sage grouse. In a fast-growing community such as Jackson Hole, we cannot accomplish that goal without taking into account several road construction projects slated for design and construction within the next five to 10 years. One-quarter of our state highways in the entire valley are slated for reconstruction and expansion in the next decade or so.

Join the Public Lands Committee on Monday, March 8 at the Conservation Alliance for a brown bag discussion on a community effort to incorporate crossings for wildlife in these upcoming highway projects.
